Teresa joined the Office of Admissions as the Assistant Director for Recruitment in May 2013. She works with students from Cape Girardeau County, Homeschool and GED students. Teresa also oversees all special events, supervises the admission counselors, and helps develop and implement the office recruiting plan. Teresa previously served as an admission counselor in the office from June 2006 to November 2010. Her territory included St. Louis and St. Charles county public high schools.
Originally from Perryville, MO, Teresa attended Southeast after graduating from St. Vincent High School. She received her Bachelors of Science in Business in 2005 with an emphasis on Integrated Marketing communications. Teresa graduated with her Masters in Business Administration in 2013. During her undergraduate years, Teresa worked on campus and was heavily involved. She was a member of and held offices in Delta Delta Delta Sorority, Student Government, National Panhellenic Council, Greek Week Steering Committee and Student Alumni Association.
Teresa is a member of the Cape Girardeau Jaycees, Cape Girardeau and Jackson Chambers of Commerce, Cape Girardeau Country Club, Beta Sigma Phi, the Missouri Association for College Admission Counseling (MOACAC) and St. Vincent Parish in Cape Girardeau. In her free time, Teresa loves spending time with her husband, Scott and two children, Miriam and Alex. She also enjoys traveling, reading, watching movies, shopping and working out. She has run one full marathon, seven half marathons and many 5k races. Teresa is very excited to be back in the admissions office to share her passion for Southeast with prospective students and families!
