Alyssa Schaffrin joined the admissions team in May of 2012. Her primary responsibility is recruitment in central, northern, and southern Illinois.

A native of St. Charles, Missouri, Alyssa attended college at Southeast Missouri State University and graduated in December 2011 with a Human Environmental Science degree in Child Development. She is currently pursuing her Master of Arts degree in Higher Education Administration. During her undergraduate years, Alyssa was very active on campus, especially in admissions. For three years, she was a Student Ambassador and Multicultural Recruitment Team member. She was also involved in the Career Linkages advisory board, and played various intramurals. She also completed Southeast’s Applied Behavior Analysis program where she worked with children with autism.

While not in the office Alyssa enjoys visiting her family, traveling, cooking, staying active, and hanging out with her friends. Alyssa is excited about exploring Illinois, sharing her love of Southeast with prospective students, and helping them in any way possible.
