Are you currently enrolled at another college or university and interested in taking a Southeast class? Southeast welcomes you to take classes as a visiting student. “Visiting” student status is granted to students who are in good academic and social standing at their home institutions. Visiting students are enrolled as non-degree-seeking students.
Visiting Student Steps to Enrollment
Note: If you are an international applicant, please contact International Education and Services at intadmit@semo.edu or 573-986-6863 for application instructions in lieu of following the below instructions.
Step 1: Apply for Admission
Complete an Application for Admission (select the "undergraduate transfer" application type and select that you are applying as a visiting student), pay the non-refundable $30 application fee, and submit a completed “Visiting Student Statement of Standing Form.” Official transcripts may be submitted in lieu of this form.
The application, application fee and “Visiting Student Statement of Standing Form” must be submitted three weeks prior to the beginning of the semester.
Please note that visiting students are classified as non-degree-seeking students, so they are not eligible for financial aid. If you would like to be admitted as a degree-seeking-student, please follow the Transfer Student Steps to Enrollment.
Step 2: Enroll
Upon admission to Southeast, you may enroll in your chosen course(s) by contacting the Office of the Registrar at (573) 651-2250.
