Southeast students receive over $20 million annually, in the form of institutional scholarships. Some of these are only awarded at the time of admission, while others offer an annual application process. Institutional Scholarships can be split into Academic (Merit), Endowed, and Participation scholarships. All information below applies to scholarships awarded for 2018-19, unless specifically noted. The 2019-20 scholarship program will be announced in July, 2018.

Endowed scholarships have an annual application process, which gives students a chance to earn scholarships each year they attend Southeast. These scholarships range from a couple hundred dollars, to a couple thousand dollars each. Southeast awards over 1,100 endowed scholarships per year, totaling more than $1,800,000. You may apply for an endowed scholarship between September 1st, when the applications open (for the following academic year) and July 1st, when applications close.

Participation scholarships require that you are a participant of a particular academic department or group at Southeast. Common participation scholarships are: Academic Support Centers, First Robotics Competition, Military - Air Force ROTC Housing Scholarship, Military - Show Me Gold Housing Scholarship, Missouri MOST Scholarship, Speech & Debate, Spirit Groups (Cheerleading & Sundancers), and Visiual and Performing arts. You may also speak to your particular academic department to see if other scholarships exist.
