Southeast Missouri State University

The BS in Agribusiness/Animal Science Option prepares students for positions in management, sales, marketing, finance, policy, production and related areas in the animal industry. It can also provide the basis for graduate work leading to a MS or PhD. This option is designed for students who complete all four years at Southeast and for students transferring to Southeast. There are many jobs in the animal industry and we provide options for focus in most of them. With the BS in Agribusiness/Animal Science your opportunities are endless and it is a great framework for students who want to work with the Pre-Veterinarian Medicine here at Southeast.

In the Agribusiness/Animal Science Option, like most Agribusiness Options here at Southeast, we like to focus on experiential learning and hands-on activities. We have availability to work with all aspects of Beef Cattle at the David M. Barton Agriculture Research Center and Horses in conjunction with El Tomaria Farm, Inc. At Southeast we also work closely with many local veterinarians for companion animal work and with other local facilities for experience in meat processing, dairy management, food processing and others. Feel free to contact us for more information on this major.
