Goals for AP Institute


  • To review of Music Theory through Modulation and Secondary Dominants
  • To develop strategies and techniques for teaching theory, composition, and sight singing and analysis, 
  • To learn the AP grading process and develop questions for use in classroom assessment
  • To produce a Music Theory curriculum for use in the secondary school
  • To learn the basics of establishing a Music Vertical Team to articulate the music curriculum, K-12.
