Goals for AP Institute


The AP Institute in American Government is designed to train high school faculty to develop a rigorous college level course for their students and to prepare their students for the AP exam in government.  The course content centers on the US Constitution, Political Behavior and interest groups, Congress, The Executive Branch, the Courts and public policy.  The institute is also designed to assist the faculty in preparing their students for the AP exam.  We discuss past exam questions, writing skills, and how to develop cogent essay responses for the AP Exam.
