The River Campus Art Gallery is part of the Earl and Margie Holland School of Visual and Performing Arts on beautiful River Campus. The 1,275 square-foot gallery space is located in the historic Seminary Building, a newly renovated space housing offices, studios and classrooms for the Departments of Art, Music and Theater and Dance. The River Campus sits on the banks of the Mississippi adjacent to a beech-shaded park with walking paths, a gazebo and sweeping views of the river.
The River Campus Art Gallery exists to provide community leadership in Southeast Missouri in the presentation of relevant contemporary art. The Gallery seeks to promote creative experimentation, academic dialogue and the cultural enrichment of campus and local communities through exhibitions of emerging and established artists. The Gallery is dedicated to serving these communities by offering diverse exhibitions programs focusing on current issues and practices in the visual arts in tandem with an educational program of artists' lectures, gallery talks, student and faculty display opportunities and outreach.
All exhibitions, lectures and events are free and open to the public. Visitor parking is ample in front of the Cultural Arts Center. The River Campus, Seminary Building and River Campus Art Gallery are handicapped accessible.
