Southeast Missouri State University

Student Organizations

The Art Guild is an active organization of art majors who meet to support and encourage each other as artists and to plan activities. The Art Guild hosts the Holiday Art Sale prior to the winter holidays in the River Campus. Art Guild members produce ceramics, sculpture, paintings, drawings, wearable art like hand-pulled prints, original note cards, jewelry, and photographs for sale to the public. They also host the Chili Cook-Off and Bowl Sale, and off-campus art exhibits.

The Art Guild of Southeast Missouri State University represents the visual artistic community of the university. Guild membership is comprised of any and all art majors and minors attending the University. The guild has two main focuses - one is to provide a creative outlet for expression on behalf of the students of Southeast, and the other is to develop an artistic community that extends throughout the surrounding areas of Southeast Missouri. Throughout the semester, the guild will participate in and plan a number of collaborative activities in an effort to benefit the communities at large.

To find out how to get involved in the Art Guild or the date of an Art Guild event or meeting, please contact the SEMO Art Guild on Facebook or Emily Denlinger, edenlinger@semo.edu
