Roles of First Responders

  1. Immediate care of the injured or ill student-athlete

     

  2. Emergency equipment retrieval

     

  3. Activation of EMS 
    call 911 from any on or off campus phone (provide name, address, telephone number, number of individuals injured, condition of injured, specific directions, and any other requested information)
  4. Direct EMS to scene
    1. Campus police officer will unlock and open any necessary gates and/or doors
    2. A campus police officer will "flag down" EMS and direct to the scene

Scene Control:  limit personnel on scene to first aid providers and move bystanders away from the area.

Venue Directions

Capaha Baseball Park is located in Capaha Park on the corner of Broadway Street and West End Blvd. 

ARRIVING FROM THE WEST

Direct access to the baseball field is available through a gate next to the third base dugout.  To gain access to the gate one must come off Broadway Street and turn North onto Perry Avenue  Continue North on Perry Avenue to Parkview.  Once on Parkview, drive on the grass following the outfield fence and arrive at the third base dugout gate.

ARRIVING FROM THE EAST

Direct access to the baseball field is available through a gate next to the third base dugout.  To gain access to the gate one must come off Broadway Street and turn North onto West End.  Continue forward on West End to Parkview.  Once on Parkview, drive on the grass following the outfield fence and arrive at the third base dugout gate
