Roles of First Responders
- Immediate care of the injured or ill student-athlete
- Emergency equipment retrieval
- Activation of EMS
call 911 from any on or off campus phone (provide name, address, telephone number, number of individuals injured, condition of injured, specific directions, and any other requested information) - Direct EMS to scene
- Campus police officer will unlock and open any necessary gates and/or doors.
- A campus police officer will "flag down" EMS and direct to the scene.
Scene Control: limit personnel on scene to first aid providers and move bystanders away from the area.
Venue Directions
The Rosengarten Athletic Complex Practice Fields are located on East Greek Drive. There are two entrances due to two separate fields. Entrance depends on which field the injury/illness has occurred.
Upper Field: Entrance onto Rosengarten's upper field must come from New Madrid to Greek Drive. Greek Drive is one way and may only head east. Continue forward on Greek to the Rosengarten Athletic Complex.
Lower Field: Entrance onto Rosengarten's lower field must come from Sprigg Street to Towers circle drive. Continue forward on Towers Circle drive. Continue forward through the parking lot, past the parking garage to the back of the Rosengarten building. A small service road on east side of the building leads to the lower field of the Rosengarten Athletic Complex.
