Alfred Castillo, M.S., ATC Head Athletic Trainer

Alfred enters his second year as the head athletic trainer at Southeast Missouri State University. Previously, Alfred worked at the University of Missouri where he served as an assistant athletic trainer for five years. At Mizzou, Al worked with track and field, baseball, and spent two years as the top assistant for the football team.
Before working at the University of Missouri, Castillo spent two years as an assistant athletic trainer at Texas A&M University. At Texas A&M, he was in charge of the track and field teams and assisted with football. Prior to that, he was the head athletic trainer for the P.S.J.A. School District in South Texas for three years. He also spent 15 months working as a rehab coordinator at a physical therapy clinic before switching to the high school setting.
Castillo is a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association, the Missouri Athletic Trainers Association, the Southwest Athletic Trainers Association and the USAPL. He recently served as a speaker at the 2006 Big XII Medical Aspects Meeting in Dallas, Texas.
Castillo received his bachelor's degree from the University of Texas-Pan American, and earned his master's in Sports Physiology from Texas A&M. He and his wife, Mary Ann, have a son Matthew (12) and a daughter, Jordyn (7). |

Amanda joined the Southeast Missouri State athletic training staff in October 2005 after serving as an athletic trainer at a high school in Oklahoma City, OK. Amanda completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Missouri and served as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at the University of Oklahoma while completing her master's degree. During her graduate assistantship at OU, Amanda provided athletic training services to the Sooner volleyball, track and field and football programs.
Amanda currently is responsible for the athletic healthcare of Southeast's football and women's basketball programs. |

Scott Parker, M.S., ATC Assistant Athletic Trainer

After being raised in Overland Park, KS, Scott attended Kansas State University where he received his bachelor's degree in kinesiology with an emphasis in athletic training in 2002. He continued his education by earning his master's degree in exercise science at Syracuse University in 2005. While serving as a graduate assistant in their Sports Medicine Department, Scott worked with football, men's soccer, men's and women's swimming/diving, and assisted with the men's basketball and lacrosse teams.
In July 2005, Scott was hired at Southeast Missouri State University. He currently is responsible for the athletic healthcare of the Redhawk football, men's basketball and women's tennis programs. |
