James P. Limbaugh

James P. Limbaugh was appointed to the University’s Board of Regents by Governor Matt Blunt in January 2007 for a six-year term ending January 1, 2013.

Limbaugh's career spans 26 years in the financial services industry, with his primary focus being on community banking. He is currently the Chief Operating Officer for Montgomery Bank.  He has also been a financial consultant with Merrill Lynch, regional executive with Region 5 NationsBank and president of Boatmen's National Bank of Cape Girardeau. He also served in various capacities with Cape Mercantile Bank and Boatmen's National Bank of Cape Girardeau.

He is past president of the Southeast Missouri State University Booster Club Executive Committee and a member of the Southeast Missouri University Foundation Board. He served as general chairman of the Foundation's New Vision of Excellence Capital Campaign from 1987 to 1992. He is a member of the Harrison College of Business Advisory Committee and is first vice chairman of the Southeast Missouri Hospital Board of Trustees Executive Committee.

Limbaugh holds a bachelor of science in business administration degree and a master of arts in teaching degree, both from Southeast Missouri State University. He is a graduate of the ABA National Commercial Lending School and the ABA National Commercial Lending Graduate School, both at the University of Oklahoma.
