The mission of Business Operations is to provide support services to students, faculty, staffand administration, which complement the academic and administrative environment, facilitate the educational mission and contribute toward effective fiscal management of Southeast Missouri State University. Business Operations falls under the umbrella of the Division of Finance and Administration. Laura Stock serves as director of Business Operations.

Business Operations Responsibilities
The Purchasing Department serves as the University's procurement function, which processes purchase orders, competitively bids all goods and services exceeding $3,000, and tracks the University's fixed assets. Sarah Steinnerd serves as the Purchasing Manager.
The Southeast Bookstore operates the University's institutionally owned retail store operation and provides clothing and educational products. Jan Chisman serves as the Bookstore Manager.
Textbook Rental rents textbooks to undergraduate students--one of the few such programs in the nation. Laurie Taylor serves as the Assistant Manager of Southeast Bookstore.
