FyLP (pronounced flip) is a series of workshops offered in the fall semester open to all first-year students. Participants will explore their personal leadership style and learn to capitalize on their innate leadership strengths. Participants complete a leadership assessment, attend six two-hour leadership sessions and experience the on-campus low ropes course. Emphasis will be placed on community building.
To help accommodate a growing number of participants, this year we are offering a second cohort! Based on your availability/schedule, you could also choose to attend our either Monday or Thursday option from 6-8p in the University Center Program Lounge!
Registration for Fall 2016 is now open! Register at https://semo.wufoo.com/forms/fylp-registration-2016/ by 5 p.m. on Friday, September 2nd.
What to see what FyLP is all about before registering? Visit our "Leadership Reception" on Saturday, August 20th from 6-7pm in the Center for Student Involvement (UC 2nd floor) to learn about our programs, visit with current facilitators and past participants, and grab some snacks and free stuff! No registration is necessary for the reception. Not available to come to the reception? We will have information tables set up in the UC Lobby Monday, August 22nd-Wednesday, August 24th so come say hi!
