Southeast has entered into a partnership with the Missouri Division of Workforce Development which assists clients and employers in economic development by connecting and matching employees’ talents and credentials with employer needs. The University’s partnership with the Division of Workforce Development allows students access to DWD’s online database, MissouriCareerSource.com, for job and career opportunities within the state. MissouriCareerSource.com is the official Workforce Resource website for the State of Missouri.
As a Southeast Missouri State University student, you will have access to thousands of Missouri jobs, with job matches based on skills as well as job titles, field of study and/or zip code. MissouriCareerSource.com also will automatically match your qualifications with the many job openings in the database and provide you with a list of those openings. You also can do an advanced quick search, starting with the position or industry that interests you and narrow it down from there.
The profiling system will make it easier for you to showcase your experience, education, skills and contact information. You will be able to publish your profile to businesses that access the site. When you create a profile, a home page will automatically be created for you. This will be a place where you can store searches, position descriptions and contacts with businesses. It is your personal employment center, to use any way you like and as much as you like.
Use MissouriCareerSource.com, to shorten your job search time and become more familiar with the employment process. There also are links for tips on time management, assessing your strengths, learning about the job market and accessing America's Job Bank-the nation's biggest database of openings.
