Kathy graduated with Bachelor of Arts in in General Science and Secondary Education from Western New Mexico University-Summa cum Laude. She taught grades 7-12 science and mathematics for four years. Kathy left teaching and went in research and development for Edward Lowe Industries for two years. She then joined M&W Packaging in quality assurance and worked as the quality assurance manager for 3 years. She transferred to M&W's R&D department, where she helped develop new/improved blown film formulations for five years. Recently, Kathy worked in computer support for D&K Healthcare Resources for five years.
