The Fall 2017 Career Expo will bring about changes to our registration processes. This spring will be instituting a registration fee for both our Career Expos.

Payment, Cancellation, Refund, No Show, & Inclement Weather Policy

Receipt of Payment

The registration fee for the Career Expo is due 10 business days prior to the day of the event. If payment is not made by this date, your Career Expo registration will be canceled. An organization registering late (less than 10 days prior to the Career Expo) will incur a $25 late registration fee.

Cancellations/Refunds

Cancellation requests should be sent via email to Amy Aldridge, Employer Relations Specialist, aaldridge@semo.edu using the refund policy listed below:

  • Up to 10 Days before the Career Expo: Once payment is made, a full refund will be granted if cancellation is requested via email by 5pm (CST) 10 business days prior to the event.
  • Less than 10 Days before the Career Expo: All cancellations after the 10 business day deadline will receive a refund of 50% of the total amount of registration fees paid up until the day of the event.
  • Day of Career Expo Cancellations: All cancellations on or after the day of the Career Expo will forfeit a refund. Please note, that organizations with outstanding fees will not be permitted to attend future career events until their account is paid in full.
No Shows

Upon receipt of registration and fee payment, an organization is expected to participate in the Career Expo. Registered organizations that “no show” on the day of the Career Expo and fail to notify the Office of Career Services of cancellation will not receive a refund or be credited for a future Career Expo.

Inclement Weather

If Southeast Missouri State University has announced a closure on the day of the Career Expo due to inclement weather, the Office of Career Services will decide if the event will continue by no later than 7:00am on the day of the Career Expo. Should inclement weather prevent the Career Expo from occurring, the Office of Career Services will attempt to reschedule the event.

  • If a registered business or organization chooses to participate on the rescheduled date, all fees and cancellation policies will apply.
  • If the organization chooses NOT to participate on the rescheduled date, a 100% refund will be granted.
  • If the Career Expo cannot be rescheduled, 100% of the registration fee will be refunded to all registered organizations.

Companies and organizations who are unable to attend the Career Expo due to inclement weather in their area will receive a refund of 50%.
