Instructors working with an elementary student

Elementary Education

BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN ELEMENTARY EDUCATION CERTIFICATION
First Grade through Grade Six

120 minimum hours. Some programs in elementary education will exceed this number.
It is your responsibility to check the University Bulletin to make sure you have met various prerequisites.

An area of concentration is required for elementary education, which means you will have 21 hours in a selected field.  Choosing your area is not a life decision.  We would suggest you give it some thought and then, once you have made the decision, continue with it.  Those who change back and forth usually end up graduating behind schedule.
