In order to support scholarship on the work and life of William Faulkner, the Center for Faulkner Studies is pleased to offer grants to help researchers with travel costs. Travel grants are available to U.S.-based scholars who travel to Southeast Missouri State University to use the L. D. Brodsky Collection for research on dissertations, conference presentations, articles, books, or similar projects. These grants may not be used in conjunction with attendance at the biannual conference hosted by the Center for Faulkner Studies.

These grants may be awarded up to $500 in the form of reimbursement for actual expenses. If approved, individuals may receive less than $500 even if their total expenses exceed that amount. Funding is dependent on many factors, and the maximum $500 award is not guaranteed.

Complete the form below and submit by email to Please direct any questions to the same address. While these grants are open only to U.S-based scholars, foreign scholars may inquire about possible assistance for their research trips.
