Entrepreneurship Training

The Douglas C. Greene Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE) provides hands-on business planning and entrepreneurship training programs that lead to the creation of new businesses in Southeast Missouri and the surrounding region.  Start-up training is important and builds a foundation to grow your business.  In addition, the CIE  provides business growth training to area small businesses who need additional information to run their businesses more successfully.

The CIE is home to Operation JumpStart, an award-winning microenterprise development program that partners with organizations seeking to assist aspiring entrepreneurs. Combining nationally-recognized curriculum, certification training, and rich online resources, this program can be the foundation you need in building entrepreneurial communities of opportunity.   The courseware for this microenterprise development program is called Operation JumpStart: First Step, and is an easy-to-understand, 12-section course designed to help entrepreneurs test the feasibility of their business ideas before launch.  The CIE's local small business efforts or Operation JumpStart Missouri, has led to it's regional outreach in a partnership with the Delta Regional Authority to take Operation JumpStart into eight additional states.
