Ellen Dillon, Instructor of Communication Studies Ellen Dillon not only has a love for the Theatre, she will ACT anywhere she is given an opportunity. In fact, one of the most rewarding ACTing jobs she has ever had consists of her charity and self-development work in the clowning industry. Yes, you read it correctly, Ellen Dillon is a clown. Ellen said, "I go to different countries from time to time (I’ve been to Russia, Siberia, Jamaica, China and Tibet) with different clowning groups. I go to hospitals, orphanages, schools, etcetera, to help make people happy!" She added that she is affiliated with the Patch Adams’ Organization and also with an independent clown group--and has travelled with both. Patch Adams was a "medical student in the 70s that treated patients, illegally, using humor," according to the movie's Website. The movie about Patch Adams, with the same title, was made in 1998 and starred Robin Williams. Education: Contact Information: Courses: |
