The Walter J. Pudlo Award was created by an alumnus of the Department in 1999 to recognize an outstanding junior Mass Communication student.
The award provides a $400 stipend to a student distinguished for campus media work, strong scholarship and service to other students. The Pudlo Award has been granted by faculty vote to the following juniors: Julie Kraemer (public relations), 2000; Staci Seabaugh (radio), 2001; Kaleb Nunn (radio), 2002; Lara Golike (public relations), 2003; and Robert Lewis (journalism), 2004.
