Photoshop Workshop Series

Artists, photographers, designers and hobbyists all rely on Adobe Photoshop for graphic design work. If you want to work with graphics, Photoshop is the program you need to learn. Even if you’ve never used a computer for graphics before, our workshops will teach you how to use Photoshop with simple, detailed step-by-step instructions.

About the Photoshop instructor...
Jessica King earned her bachelor’s degree in technical graphics, her master’s degree in industrial management and has taught graphics classes at Southeast. Jessica is currently the Webmaster for Southeast Hospital.

Beginning Photoshop:
Tuesday, October 25 from 6:30-9:00 p.m. - $49

In this introductory workshop you will:

• Learn about the interface
• Work with tools & palettes
• Use layers effectively
• Crop and scale images
• Learn about making selections
• Retouch images
• Use saving techniques

Prerequisite: Basic computer knowledge and experience with basic software programs such as Microsoft Word.

Intermediate Photoshop:
Tuesday, November 1 from 6:30-9:00 p.m. - $49

In this intermediate workshop you will:

• Learn to use brushes
• Retouch images
• Learn to use the adjustments layers
• Work with masks
• Learn about shapes
• Work with blending modes

Prerequisite: Basic computer knowledge and experience using Photoshop software.

Advanced Photoshop:
Tuesday, November 15 from 6:30-9:00 p.m. - $49

In this advanced workshop you will learn about:

• Create text
• Retouching images
• Using filters
• Compositing
• HDR
• Creating Panoramic
• Content Aware Scaling

Prerequisite: Basic computer knowledge and experience using Photoshop software.
