Black and White has always been regarded as a photographic art of its own. Learn to see in black & white, expand your visual interest and use camera controls and exposure techniques to capture workable image files for the black and white process. Students should have basic understanding of photographic principles including understanding camera controls. Required equipment: DSLR camera and tripod. The course involves two weeks of class with the first week offering a classroom session and the second week taking place on site.
Participants will need to bring a single lens reflex digital camera to class.

Christine Beardslee is a American Red Cross Certified Health and Safety Instructor. She has been with the American Red Cross since 2011 teaching courses such as Adult and Pediatric CPR/AED and First Aid as well as Blood borne Pathogens and Pet First Aid. Christine loves animals. She started her interest with a 4H project where the bred and sold AKC Registered German Shepherd Puppies. She has also worked for 12 years doing pet photography and has a Rhodesian Ridgeback and a Pomeranian, both rescued dogs.
