Computers & Design
Programming Computer Games Wonder how Nintendo programmers got their start? Learn the basics by developing games and discover how programming language allows you to control a computer. Each student will have access to a computer workstation. By the end of the course, you will have coded your own games such as a Pac-Man like maze, a flight simulator, a breakout game and more as your time and progress allows. You don't need to be able to type fast, but you will spend a lot of time typing. Discover how much fun computer programming can be! Must be at least 10 years of age. Instructor: Ziping Liu, Dept. of Computer Science
Photoshop: Graphics with a Twist Create personal masterpieces by learning to design composite images with special effects. Take a graphic and add your own personal style: create special effects, filters, and learn how to crop and re-size - you’re limited only by your imagination! Take your projects home to share with friends and family. Discover the graphic designer in you. Instructor: Jessica King, Dept. of Industrial and Engineering Tech. |
