Language & Cultures
Would you like to search for pots of gold or trek through the Outback? Want to walk like an Egyptian or attend a Mexican fiesta? Then grab your passport (provided by us) and join us while we visit four different countries (Australia, Mexico, Egypt and Ireland) and learn about their cultures, customs and people. Students will become a world class citizen as they participate in hands-on cultural activities related to each country and they will make a calendar including fun facts about their adventures. At the end of the week kids will take a piece of culture home - their own personalized, souvenir calendar, which will serve as a reminder of their adventures around the world! Basic computer experience. Instructor: Vicky Lankford, Dept. of Criminal Justice & Sociology *Please bring a wallet-sized photo to class for your "passport."
Every culture and country has legends. Come with us as we explore American Legends as well as others from around the world. We'll hear stories, watch videos, and more in this fun class! Instructor: Mirra Anson, MS in English & Higher Education Administration |
