Sewing 101 with Joanne Waddell

This course is ideal for folks who haven’t sewn in years - or even for those who have just plain never sewn. We’ll cover the basics of simple mending and how a sewing machine works along with trouble-shooting tips. You’ll learn how to measure and cut fabric for projects and practice how to sew a good seam. You will finish up with sewing a simple pillow cover to take home. Join us to gain the confidence to tackle your own projects, to learn sewing jargon, or just to enjoy evenings out learning and refreshing your sewing skills.

Please bring a simple mending project to class the first night. Sewing machines will be available for use, however, students are encouraged to bring their own for individualized instruction.
