Endowed & Sponsored Scholarships

Southeast offers the following endowed and sponsored scholarships, funded by friends of the University, for Criminal Justice students.

EF003. BILL FERRELL ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP

Awarded to a Scott County, Missouri resident with a 3.0 GPA and a Criminal Justice or Pre-Law major. Awarded to a new student each year. Deadline is March 1.

EC003. CAPE COUNTY FRIENDS OF LAW ENFORCEMENT

Applicants must have junior status, a declared major in Criminal Justice, maintain a cumulative 3.0 GPA, and have graduated from any high school in Cape Girardeau County. Financial need verified by FAFSA may be a consideration. Deadline is March 1.

EG024. MILDRED GERECKE

Open to Criminal Justice majors who have maintained a minimum 2.5 GPA. Selection is made by Department of Criminal Justice. Deadline is March 1.

EK013. NEIL KEENEY MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Candidates should be U.S. citizens working toward degrees granted by the College of Science and Mathematics, the College of Health and Human Services or the Harrison College of Business. Selection of the scholarship recipient should be prioritized in the following order: African-American biracial, Hispanic-American, Native American and non-minorities in that order. Single parents should be given priority, if singe parents are present in the eligible pool. Preference should be given to Crawford, St. Francois, Ste. Genevieve and Washington county candidates in that order. If there are no qualified candidates from these counties, the award may be made to a qualifying candidate from another rural SEMO county. Deadline is March 1.

ET004. THE DEBBIE COLLINS MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

The recipient of this scholarship will be a student enrolled at Southeast Missouri State University who has completed at least 60 hours with a minimum GPA of 3.0. They must be a resident of Wayne, Butler, Ripley, Stoddard or Carter county in Missouri. First preference will be given to a student majoring in corrections or law-enforcement. Second preference will be given to a student majoring in Social Work or Pre-Law. Deadline is March 1.

ET005. TRI-COUNTY CITIZENS ADVISORY BOARD

Open to residents of Scott, New Madrid or Mississippi Counties who are majoring, or minoring, in Criminal Justice and have completed 60 semester hours with a minimum GPA of 2.5. Financial need is a determining factor. Deadline is July 15.
