Please make yourself familiar with the requirements for the degree. The degree requires a total of 36 credit hours, including 18 hours of core courses, 12 hours of elective courses, and a capstone experience that may be satisfied by completing a thesis (6 hours), an internship (6 hours), CJ650 Seminar in Criminal Justice Leadership (3 hours, plus an additional 3-hour elective), or comprehensive written final exams (0 hours, plus an additional 6 hours of electives). As a cooperative program, courses are offered by both Southeast Missouri State University and Missouri Southern State University. In order to register for a course at Southeast, you must contact the professor for the class and ask them to open the class for you to register. In order to register for a class at MSSU, contact Ms. Angela Bennett at firstname.lastname@example.org and ask that she enroll you in the class.
To locate courses at Southeast:
- Go to http://portal.semo.edu
- Click "MySoutheast"
- Enter SE Key and password
To look up available courses:
- Click on "Students" tab
- Select "Click here to open My Southeast Self Service"
- Click on "Registration"

Tutorials for Online Courses at Southeast
Web courses at Southeast Missouri State Univerrsity are supported by the Center for Scholarship in Teaching and Learning (CSTL). Their website includes a number of tutorials that explain the various programs by which online classes are delivered at Southeast.
All financial aid for this program is administered through Missouri Southern State University. As such, inquiries regarding financial aid should be directed to Ms. Angela Bennett at email@example.com.
Books may be purchased from booksellers such as Amazon.com, Barnes & Noble, and others. Also, the Southeast Bookstore will carry books for the courses offered by Southeast.
Similarly, the MSSU Bookstore carries those books related to courses offered by MSSU.
