Academics Areas of Study: Southeast offers more than 200 areas of study from accounting to zoology.
Advising: At Southeast, you are encouraged to consider many academic and career interests. Our academic advisors can help by providing guidance related to course selection and registration. If you haven’t selected a major, the University Studies advisor can provide you with assistance.
School of Graduate Studies: You will find Southeast to be an excellent place to pursue your graduate studies. Southeast’s advantages are excellent faculty, convenience and value. You can pursue your studies in small classes, working closely with other graduate students and with professors who are experts in their professional fields. Southeast offers master's degrees, education specialist degrees, and a doctoral degree through a cooperative program with the University of Missouri. Honors Program: Students interested in small classes, caring faculty and special privileges, such as opportunities for undergraduate research, will want to check out the Southeast Honors Program. Kent Library: Southeast's Kent Library is your partner in finding information for completing research papers and class assignments. Find out what our library has to offer by visiting Kent Library online. Library professionals can work with you in person, by phone or e-mail. Online resources bring the library to wherever you are, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Learning Assistance Programs and Disability Support Services: Learning Assistance Programs and Disability Support Services provide programs designed to help you become an independent learner, accomplish your educational goals no matter what obstacles or difficulties you may experience, become aware of the value of diversity and ensure you have access to all University programs should you have a disability or impairment. Through these programs, Learning Assistance Programs and Disability Support Services hope to promote learning, academic success and student retention.

Testing Services: Testing Services coordinates academic assessment and other testing programs which are offered to Southeast students and members of the community. Testing Services supervises Placement testing for new students, exit and placement testing for various University programs, the Credit by Exam program and correspondence testing as well high school outreach programs such as dual enrollment examinations

The Writing Center: The Writing Center, located on the fourth floor of Kent Library, offers students the chance to receive input and advice on writing assignments of any length or type. In most cases, appointments are not required if your paper is less than ten pages in length. During busy times in the semester, you may want to plan ahead and get your paper done early.
