Stafford Entrance Loan Counseling

All first-time borrowers at Southeast are required to complete loan counseling prior to loan processing.  This includes transfer students with prior Stafford debt and students who have never borrowed.

Entrance loan counseling can be completed over the Internet at http://MappingYourFuture.org.  Please print the confirmation number you receive at the end of the session and keep it with your financial records as proof that you have finished counseling. If you cannot complete this requirement via the Internet, contact Student Financial Services at (573) 651-2253.

Stafford Exit Loan Counseling

Federal regulations require Southeast to provide exit loan counseling to all Federal Stafford Loan borrowers who graduate, drop below half-time enrollment, or leave the University.  Loan counseling helps students understand their rights and responsibilities as a borrower.

Exit loan counseling can be completed over the Internet at http://MappingYourFuture.org.  Please print the confirmation number you receive at the end of the session and keep it with your financial records as proof that you have finished counseling. Perkins Entrance Loan Counseling

Federal regulations require Southeast to provide entrance loan counseling to all Perkins Loan borrowers.
