Computer Labs

At Southeast, students are provided with five open computer labs which are open, free of charge, to any Southeast student.

Hours of Operation

The Southeast computer labs are open as early as 7a.m.(Dempster) and Towers is open 24 hours a day Monday through Thursday. For a complete schedule of Computer Lab hours for all campus computer labs, please visit: http://www6.semo.edu/openlab/hours.asp .

During finals week, the computer labs maintain special hours. For a listing of these special hours, please visit: http://www6.semo.edu/openlab/finalsweekhrs.asp. The labs also are open during extended semester breaks, although with shorter hours. Instructions and Help Topics

The staff in the Southeast Computer Labs know that computers can be, at times, scary and a bit confusing. If you need help with basic processes such as saving files, formatting diskettes, and other useful topics regarding the use of your computer, please visit: http://www6.semo.edu/infotech/help/tutorials.asp.

Special Arrangements

A family computer room in Kent Library is offered for use and/or reservation for students who have children. See a lab assistant at the Kent Computer Lab for details.

All of the computer labs at Southeast are staffed with willing and helpful assistants who are ready and able to assist you with any dilemmas that may arise while you are working in one of the open computer labs on campus.

Viruses

One of the unfortunate by-products of the technological age are the viruses which can disrupt computer systems and cause major inconveniences for people everywhere.
