Southeast Missouri State University and the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in Washington, D.C. have entered into a partnership that allows Southeast students to participate in a four-day seminar at the CSIS offices in Washington, D.C. In the seminar, Southeast students work with researchers and consultants who advise national leaders in the top levels of government as they develop policies and strategies that affect the United States and the global community.
During the seminar, students learn about:

- The New Russian Economy
- Preventing International Financial Crises
- Global Energy Futures
- Technological Innovation and Global Competition
- Insider’s Look into Washington, D.C. Career Panel
