Faculty Status and Compensation
All high school dual credit faculty are appointed part-time faculty of their respective academic departments. In terms of personnel classification, dual credit faculty are considered as consultants and compensated accordingly. Compensation payments are not subject to withholding. For amounts in excess of $600.00 for a given year, income is reported on a Form 1099. All faculty will be required to sign an Independent Contractor Agreement.

|2 sem hr course||$35 per student|
|3 sem hr course:||$50 per student|
|5 hr yearly course||$80 per student|
Payment for fall courses will be processed in December after a faculty member has verified his/her course roster. Payment for spring courses will be processed in early May after a faculty member has verified his/her course roster. Payment for year-long courses will be made in two installments: one half of the amount due will be processed in December after a faculty member has verified his/her course roster and the second half processed in May after a faculty member has verified his/her course roster.
The dual credit pay scale is subject to modification in keeping with required cost saving measures; however, this scale will not change during the course of an ongoing semester.
Attendance at the required fall on-campus orientation pays $75 per teacher plus mileage reimbursement. Payment will follow the August session within one month.
Dual credit faculty members are entitled to a 10% discount on purchases made at the University Bookstore. A list of actively appointed teachers will be submitted at the beginning of each year, and individuals seeking to utilize this benefit should identify themselves to bookstore personnel to receive the discount. A faculty ID will grant the same privilege.
