Dual Credit

The Dual Credit Office is located in room 301 of the Seabaugh Polytechnic Building. The office administers a program whereby high school students may earn college credit for certain courses in their schools. High schools may request approval for qualified teachers to offer courses on their campuses to students for high school credit and college credit at Southeast Missouri State University. Qualified high school students may enroll and pay a reduced fee to receive college credit.

High school students who qualify may take courses for Dual Credit at Southeast's regional campuses in Kennett, Malden, Perryville and Sikeston.

If the student’s high school is accepting courses at the regional campuses for high school credit, the students may enroll in those locations for college credit at a cost of 55 percent of the regular fee.

Enrollment forms are available for downloading at this Web site.  Students should contact their high school counselors who will assist in completing the form.  The forms must be signed by the counselor or principal and mailed to:

Dual Credit Office
Southeast Missouri State University
One University Plaza, MS 6875
Cape Girardeau, MO

If the students will not be receiving high school credit for courses at the regional campuses, they may take courses at those campus locations as Early College Credit students and qualify for the reduced fee.
