Teaching

The ECCTRE are eager to work with faculty from across the University. We are able to serve the training needs of students through practicum and field work experiences with young children and internships, both directly with children and in the administration of programs for young children. We also work closely with faculty who need observation sites for their students or the opportunity for students to engage in activities with young children.

The ECCTRE welcome faculty in all disciplines. Programs we have worked with recently include:

  • Child Development
  • Early Childhood Education
  • Dietetics
  • Nursing
  • Psychology
  • Communication Disorders
  • Art Education
  • Physical Education
  • Dance
  • Foreign Language

Research

The ECCTRE supports research throughout the university. We welcome faculty and students who are interested in research related to young children and their families. Each Center has unique qualities, with some providing video monitoring equipment to assist in observation of classrooms.
