Crystal Jones

Crystal Jones directs initiatives for the Institute for Regional Innovation and Entrepreneurship that advance economic and workforce development. Her duties include collaboration with local, regional, state, and federal stakeholders to stimulate economic growth in southeast Missouri through entrepreneurship, technology and innovation, and workforce education.

Crystal has held prior economic development positions, most recently at Ozark Foothills Regional Planning Commission in Poplar Bluff, MO. In that position, she proposed federal and state grant applications for local jurisdictions and non-profits in Southeast Missouri focused upon infrastructure development, disaster mitigation, and community facilities. In addition to grant preparation, she also managed awarded grants and was responsible for philanthropic fund development for the local regional community foundation.

Crystal received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Southeast Missouri State University and a Master of Business Administration from William Woods University. Crystal is also a 2012 graduate of the Delta Regional Authority’s Delta Leadership Institute and completed Harvard Kennedy School’s Executive Education program.
