Bloomfield Student Awarded Opal A. Baskin Scholarship to Attend Malden Campus

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., April 14, 2008 – Brittany Wilson of Bloomfield, Mo., has been awarded the Opal A. Baskin Scholarship to attend Southeast Missouri State University-Malden for the 2008-2009 academic year.

The Opal A. Baskin Scholarship is a one-year Crisp Bootheel Education Center (CBEC) Incentive Scholarship valued at $4,500 and covers the cost of incidental, general and textbook rental fees for up to 30 Southeast credit hours per academic year at the Southeast regional campus.

Wilson is the daughter of Monnie and Shaundous Jones, and is a 2008 graduate of Bloomfield R-14 High School. During her high school years, she was active in Skills USA, Science Club and Pep Club. She plans on majoring in early childhood education at Southeast Missouri State University-Malden.
