1.The Documents Committee Requested Change Forms to address

Chapter Two of the Faculty Handbook: Faculty Policies and Procedures

* Move the Grievance Policy from the Termination Section of Chapter Two, page 139, to page 132, immediately following the Faculty Tenure and Promotion section. Grievance now comprises a section between Faculty Tenure and Promotion and Termination of Faculty Employment.

2.Five sets of edits to Chapter One of the Faculty Handbook were submitted to committee.

* The most extensive set of edits covered pages 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 61, 65, 72, 73, 74, 76, 77, 83, and 84. These changes were requested, reviewed and approved by Dr. Starrett, Dean of the School of University Studies and Academic Information Services. It was subsequently determined that there were issues with these changes when the change form was submitted to the Provost. This set of changes is currently in review in regard to Dr. Starrett's title.

* A second set of edits for the section: Vice President- Finance and Administration was submitted to Senate. These edits covered pages 18 and 19.

* A third set of edits for the section: Donald L. Harrison College of Business & University International Programs was submitted to Senate. This set of edits was withdrawn due to an error in combining these two offices as represented on the organizational chart.

* A fourth set of edits for the section Division of Enrollment Management and Student Success was submitted to Senate. Those edits covered pages 8, 17, 18, 70. 71, 72, 73, 74, 77, 78, 79, 80, 82, and the index.

* A fifth set of edits was proposed by several faculty of Kent Library but this set is on hold due to the issues with Dr. Starrett's title.

3.A sixth set of edits for page 20, Administrative Positions, is in process.
