RESOLUTION AGAINST ALLOWING
CONCEALED WEAPONS ON CAMPUS

WHEREAS:  The Missouri State Legislature is currently considering an amendment to House Bill #668, which would prevent institutions of higher education from prohibiting the possession of concealed weapons on campus, and

WHEREAS: The possession of concealed weapons has not been demonstrated to make institutions of higher education safer
 
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT:  The Faculty Senate of Southeast Missouri State University strongly urges that the Missouri State Legislature continue to allow institutions of higher education to prohibit the possession of concealed weapons on campus.
