The following scholarships are from agencies outside of the University. This is not a complete listing nor is it an endorsement for these scholarships. ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM.
This scholarship is open to Missouri residents who have graduated from an accredited high school. Spring 2005 high school graduates must have a 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale and be enrolling full-time for the fall semester. College applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale and be enrolled full-time for the fall semester. Applicants must be pursuing a degree in one of the following areas of study: civil, chemical, mechanical, agricultural engineering or environmental engineering; environmental chemistry; environmental law enforcement; or some environmental area such as geology, biology, wildlife management, planning, or a closely related field. To apply for this $1,000 per semester award you must complete an application available from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, submit three letters of recommendation (one of which must be from a counselor, principal, and/or college advisor), a one page essay explaining why this scholarship is desired, a listing and summary of school and community activities, and transcripts. GATES MILLENNIUM SCHOLARS.
This is a scholarship for African American, American Indian/Alaska Native, Asian Pacific Islander American, or Hispanic Americans whom are citizens, legal permanent residents or nationals of the United States. Nominee should be a first-time college student with a cumulative GPA of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale and must be Pell Grant eligible. All necessary forms must be received by Jan.16, 2005. NANCY TALBOT SCHOLARSHIP AWARD.
Applicants must be women currently residing in the United States or Canada; who have earned a high school dipolma or their GED on or before September 2000; be enrolled or planning to enroll in a full- or part-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited 2- or 4-year college, university or vocational-technical school; be attending the full 2010-2011 academic year and receiving a degree no earlier than May 2011; and have at least two semesters (24 credit hours or more) remaining to complete an undergraduate degree as of the beginning of the 2010 fall academic term. USA FUNDS ACCESS TO EDUCATION.
This scholarship is open to high school seniors, currently enrolled college students, or incoming college students who are U.S. citizens or eligible non-citizens, plan to enroll in full- or half-time undergraduate or full-time graduate coursework, and have an annual adjusted gross family income of $35,000 or less as documented on a 2004 Federal Income Tax Return on which the applicant is claimed as an exemption. The scholarship is worth $1,500 for full-time students and $750 for half-time student and is renewable if the recipient maintains a 2.5 GPA.
