Admission Requirements
Please refer to the Admission Requirements Checklist and the Graduate Bulletin for specific admission requirements for your program and Graduate School and University regulations.
Step 1: Apply for Admission
- Complete the Application for Graduate Admission and include the non-refundable $30 graduate application fee (domestic students). This is a one-time application fee.
- Submit official transcripts from all colleges/universities attended.
- Submit official test scores (if applicable).
- Submit proof of citizenship (e.g. driver's license, passport, birth certificate)
- Submit other required application materials.

All required documents must be submitted by the application deadline.
Step 2: Apply for Financial Aid
- Apply for a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) PIN. The PIN serves as your identifier to let you electronically submit your FAFSA.
- Complete and submit a new or renewal Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
- March 1 is Southeast’s Priority Financial Aid Deadline. Submitting the FAFSA by March 1 will allow you to be considered for need-based Endowed and Sponsored Scholarships. The deadline to apply for Endowed and Sponsored Scholarships is also March 1.
- Financial aid awards will be emailed to your Southeast email account.
- Student Financial Services can provide you with more information regarding fees and financial aid. Also, read the School of Graduate Studies Affordability Flyer.
- Visit our Veterans and Military Services site for information on using veterans benefits.
- Apply for a graduate assistantship.
Step 3: Advising and Enrollment

You may not be allowed to enroll in course work applicable to your degree until your initial study plan has been approved by your academic advisor.

After being advised, enroll following the priority registration schedule.
