Master of Business Administration The Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree program responds to students’ needs. Options are available in accounting, finance, industrial management, international business, environmental management, health administration, entrepreneurship, and sport management, in addition to the general management option that focuses on leadership and organizational behavior. The accounting option allows those interested in public accounting to meet the education requirement to sit for the CPA examination. The other options provide students the opportunity to align their MBA studies with specific interests or career goals. For online students, currently the general management option is available for students wishing to complete a degree online. Regardless of the option selected, the MBA program is designed to develop the knowledge base, management skills and personal attributes which allow individuals to advance professionally in, and provide executive leadership to their organization. The program accommodates students recently completing their undergraduate studies and individuals holding responsible management positions in regional service industries, including accounting and financial services, and in manufacturing and retailing operations. The program also serves individuals wanting exposure to contemporary management thought and practice that will contribute to their continued effectiveness and professional advancement. Students with an undergraduate degree in business and students completing Southeast’s minor in business administration (or equivalent) as part of any undergraduate degree program may directly apply to the MBA program and complete the degree requirements within 33 credit hours.
