Center for Economic and Business Research The Center for Economic and Business Research (CEBR) develops and maintains monthly, quarterly, and annual comprehensive databases on economic and business conditions throughout Southeast Missouri, including information on personal income, bank deposits, sectoral employment, unemployment, building permits, sales tax revenue, and other pertinent data for business decision making, policy development and evaluation and grant writing. Specialized data are also maintained or accessible through the CEBR. Quarterly forecasts over employment and personal income by county are available. The CEBR also provides access to extensive data at the state and national level, including comprehensive decennial census information. CEBR staff complete specialized forecasts, trend analysis and economic impact studies; organize economic outlook conferences and presentations; and publish a quarterly newsletter highlighting current and expected economic and business conditions. The capability to complete basic research projects also exists. For more information, check the Web site at http://www6.semo.edu/cebr or contact Dr. Bruce Domazlicky at bdomazlicky@semo.edu. |
