Departments & Centers
Department of Accounting & Management Information Systems:

The Department offers courses in accounting, administrative systems management, business law, business education, information systems, production operations management, and quantitative methods. Majors supported through the department include accounting, management information systems, administrative systems management and business education.

Department of Economics & Finance:

The Department offers majors in economics and finance. The study of economics acquaints students with past and present, national and world economic problems, and with the tools of analysis economists use to understand these problems. The study of finance develops an understanding of financial institutions, capital markets, and the financial structure of business.

Department of Management & Marketing:

The Department provides programs and quality instruction which enhance the understanding of communication, management, leadership, and marketing among all undergraduate business students, and prepares majors for a variety of management and marketing careers in both business and not-for-profit organizations.  Majors offered by the department include international business, organizational administration, management and marketing.

Graduate Programs in Business (MBA): The Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree program, which is accredited by AACSB, prepares students for upper level management and administrative positions as well as preparing students to sit for the CPA exam.  Options in the MBA include accounting, environmental management, finance, health administration, industrial management, international business and management. The management option of the MBA is available both as an in class and an online-delivered program in order to meet the various needs of those with time and location constraints in their lives.

Harrison College of Business Academic Advising Center: Students in the Harrison College of Business benefit from personal, dedicated advising.

Harrison College of Business Career Advising Center: The Harrison College of Business (HCB) offers on-site professional career advising to business students through a unique collaboration with the University’s Office of Career Linkages and the Missouri’s Department of Workforce Development.

Center for Economic & Business Research: Develops and maintains monthly, quarterly and annual comprehensive databases on economic and business conditions throughout Southeast Missouri.

Center for Entrepreneurial Studies and Small Business Management: Provides high-quality business education, research and information services and outreach focused on entrepreneurship and small business management.

Center for International Business: The Center for International Business Programs in the Harrison College of Business provides support for the International Business major, and coordinates numerous international exchange programs and group immersion programs annually.
