New Cooperation Agreement with Kazakhstan During November 2003, the Harrison College of Business signed an agreement establishing cooperation with the Kazakhstan Institute of Management, Economics and Strategic Research. Kazakhstan was part of the Soviet Union and is now an emerging economic power in central Asia. With plentiful natural resources, the country is rapidly modernizing and Southeast's new educational agreement presents a long-term potential for academic and ultimately student exchange.
