The 2004 EBI Survey results have been received and Southeast Missouri State University’s MBA Program rates extremely high with its students! EBI is the nationwide survey that Southeast participates in every two years. Comparison results in 2004 were higher than those of 2000 and 2002, continuing an upward trend for the program.
In this year’s results, across the 15 different factors surveyed, the MBA Program at Southeast is ranked first or second in 13 of them, when compared to their six peer institutions. All factors received a higher mean score than the mean score for the 6 peer institutions. The program was also compared to 42 institutions in their Carnegie classification, where they were ranked first in 3 factors, fourth in five factors and fifth and sixth in two other factors. The program ranked in the top 50% in every factor.
The good news continues, as the rankings among all 91 participating institutions are studied. Southeast ranked among the top ten participating institutions across ten of the fifteen factors. All factors ranked in the top 50%. Dean McDougall is happy to see that students appreciate the facilities, our computing resources, the curriculum and the learning that takes place. He notes that we are ranked number 1 in “Learning Outcomes: Use and Manage Technology” in ALL three comparisons. Other student outcomes (communication and team work, management and leadership skills, critical thinking and problem solving) are consistently ranked high.
The MBA Office thanks students that participated in this national survey for the number 1 ranking they gave for the MBA Program Office Services (1 in 6 peer institutions and 42 Carnagie class, 3 in all school comparison!) The Program Director is very pleased with the results and standings as compared to 90 other participating programs and feels that it reflects the quality of students that Southeast has been able to attract.
