Purpose of the Passport Program

The HCB Passport Program is designed to give business majors the opportunity to gain critical knowledge and skills not always available in the classroom, but vital to “rounding out” the ideal graduate seeking to enter a professional career. 

The passport should serve as a reminder of the Harrison College of Business’ commitment to your success beyond the classroom.

Important Information


  • At the end of each semester, activities stamped in the Passport will be recorded in the official university transcript (pending).
  • Required events count 100 points each.  Optional events count 25 points each.
  • Optional events/activities/actions are “STANDARD” or “GOLD.”  Gold activities count double!
  • Some items must be preapproved. 
  • Please note that there is an extra cost for some items.  For example, events at the River Campus require a ticket purchase. 
  • All items require documentation for attendance and/or participation. 
  • Note that when all “Required” items are completed you will receive the WILDCARD 100 point bonus stamp!

  • Dean and Associate Dean, DH 241
  • Chairpersons:
    • Department of Management & Marketing, DH225
    • Department of Accounting & MIS, DH260
    • Department of Economics & Finance, DH205
  • MBA Director, DH246
  • International Programs Director, DH246

    The following dates are available for passport stamps:  Last 2 weeks of classes plus finals week every semester. Contact any of the above persons during this time frame for your stamp(s).

    Keep it protected and safe; it is your official record of professional accomplishments!

    Benefits of participating in the passport program


    • You will obtain important and critical knowledge, learn the necessary skills, and further develop attitudes and behaviors to be successful after you graduate and leave the HCB.
    • Those successfully completing the program (achieving at least 1,000 points) will be awarded a Certificate of Professional Advancement by the Harrison College of Business.
    • Information captured in your passport will be recorded on your official university transcript.
    • In the competitive world of securing that first career job, the passport, will represent an important element of distinctiveness, giving you a “leg up” on the competition.
    • Your passport and binder of documentation will be significant components to include in your interviews and other job search activities.
