Dr. Easter is the director of the sport management program, teaching courses in sport management and in the athletic administration option of the Master of Arts in Higher Education. She has more than 12 years of experience in sport through coaching and athletic administration and 15 years of teaching experience in higher education. Prior to coming to Southeast Missouri State University she was an associate professor in sport management at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. She is a member of the International Association of Assembly Managers, the Sport Marketing Association, the Sport and Recreation Law Association, and the North American Society for Sport Management. Dr. Easter's research interests include organizational culture in the sport industry, branding of sport organizations and legal aspects of sport. Her publications have focused on intercollegiate athletics, recreational sports and pedagogy. She has served as on the Show Me Center Board of Managers since 2003 and has been the Faulty Athletics Representative for the university since 2011.
